LEARNING LOG 1
1. How do I get my students to pay attention and to be actively participating?
Answer:
As far as I have learned that gaining students attention (reception) is the first
event of learning in which it operates on the learner in ways that constitute the
conditions of learning. So for me, this event should satisfy or provide the necessary
conditions for learning and serve as the basis for designing instruction and selecting the
appropriate media. Grabbing students attention is one of the prime requirements to let
them participate for example- Pose a question and have students brainstorm possible
answers .To make my students active in their own learning I should able to consider
their different ways or styles of learning to make them facilitative in their own learning as
active performers inside the room. I should look or find ways to connect the material to
the lives of my students as to maximize active learning.

2. How do I keep the flow of events in moving smooth and rapid transition?
Answer:
To keep the flow of events in moving smooth and rapid transition I should
consider different internal and external conditions. Utilizing effective transitions in the
classroom helps me as teacher to minimize disruptions and behavior problems,
maximize instructional time, and maintain optimal learning conditions. The key to
successful transitions is for teachers to use a variety of structured approaches which
includes time and behavior management of the students. To keep in the track and
practiced smooth transitions from one event to another there should be a guide to be
used in teaching which is called the lesson plan. Moreover, as a future teacher I must
plan ahead to organize my management strategies, schedules, lesson plans and
classrooms for successful transitions.
3. How do I communicate to students what I expect of them and are my
expectations are appropriate?
Answer:
We all know that communication is an important vehicle for communication and
interaction within the four corners of the room. Teacher whos communicating are
expressing what he wanted to convey influence or stress and convey. Students are

active listeners to us teachers if and only if we are establishing the right rapport and
right functioning and use of our authority as respected individuals.
As teachers I should make an orientation in the first day of the class to discuss the rules
to be followed and the things which shouldnt be done. Posting of valuable quotes
relating to minimizing negative behaviors of students would be helpful also. Let the
students sign a learning contract would be better employed as well.

4. How do I build good personal relationship with students?
Answer:
To build good relationship with my students I should make a good rapport to my
students. It has been said always with most of the teachers that people tend to be more
cooperative with people they like and respect. We tend to be less cooperative and more
resistant to people we do not like and do not respect. Building personal relationships
with my students has to do with how my student perceives how she is treated and how
the student perceives me as teacher and as a person, indeed it is a better way of
making me as an effective model on them.

5. How do I deal with very resistant students?
Answers:
I will first pay attention and identify the problem or the needs of my student.
Teachers should also establish positive ways of breaking walls of resistant learners by
giving a reason to act, creating enthusiasm in the teaching and learning processes,
and tapping into forces determining behavior, such as biological, emotional, cognitive,
or social forces that activate and direct behavior (Encarta Dictionary: English [North
America]). Giving them frequently positive feedback, punishment and appropriate
comments or reactions and encouraging them that they can do all things if they will just
try. By also ensuring an open minded classroom and let them feel that their ideas and
opinions are valued. And again engagement is very significant for this to happen. To
deal with very resistant students it necessarily requires rigid behavior management and
disciplinary actions that which the help or partnership of the parents would be helpful as
well.

6. What does it take to explain things clearly?
Answers:
To have better or effective presentation/demonstration of things clearly I should
consider the concept of ABCD which means:
Audience (A) Who? Who are my learners?
Behavior (B) What? What do I expect them to do?
Condition (C) How? Under what circumstances or context will the learning occur?
Degree (D) How much? How much will be accomplished, how well will the behavior
need to be performed, and to what level?
7. How do I make lessons interesting and effective?
Answer:
Making lessons interesting and effective take a vital process in planning,
implementing and evaluating. Teacher continually seek to make their teaching
interesting are inevitably creative .Making the lesson objectives is the prime step, so it
must be SMARTER and the lesson plan is well made because this would be my guide
in directing in implementing instructions. I must consider the Clarity of Learning Targets
wherein the objectives must be known to the students so that they could be aware of
the things they are expected to learn and skills to be performed. Keeping my lessons
interesting involve many strategies, I must consider the idea of Multiple Intelligences in
implementing my lessons, several ideas and theories working with diverse learners will
help as well. I must cater these factors by providing different meaningful learning
activities, learning and collaborative works. Having a sense of humor can make even
the most everyday topic more interesting, indeed it may add a motivational factor to the
students.
8. How do I get most out of space and furniture?
Answer:
Physical environment in the classroom must be working in such a way that it
helps to make teaching learning process effective, indeed it is necessary to have a
spacious and well arranged furniture in the classroom. Warm, well-run classrooms
begin with the room's physical layout the arrangement of desks and working space,
the attractiveness and appeal of bulletin boards. To deal with this, I should make a plan
addressing this to make sure that there is convenient arena for the teacher to tech and
for the learner to learn

9. How do I vary my teaching style?
Answer:
I would vary my teaching styles which must be anchored to the Multiple
Intelligences and to the different Learning styles of my learners, indeed I must be
resourceful enough of what and how would be the most appropriate teaching styles that
perfectly suited to my students be implemented or utilized.
10. How do I adjust students learning styles?
Answer:
As far as I know that each student has the capacity to learn in different way or
conditions. Knowing them and appreciating their differences in learning will help me
teach them effectively. However within a classroom I will likely find academically diverse
learners and this is why I need to move beyond the labels and make curriculum choices that
complement my students interests, strengths and needs. Helping students to link what they
are learning to daily living experiences keeps them engaged and motivated in the learning
process.
For me the effective teacher is constantly making decisions about how to present
information to achieve this, as well as monitoring and adjusting presentations to
accommodate individual differences and enhance the learning of my students. When
presenting content, effective I must gain my students attention, interact positively with my
students, review previously covered material, and provide an organization for the material,
clear directions, adequate examples, and practice need to be provided in a relevant context
for my students.
And it is always important to keep in mind that some students learn facts more easily, while
others are more adept at grasping concepts, some prefer concrete examples, others prefer
abstract examples.

11. What is my hidden curriculum?
Answer:
I think this question is referring on how I should interact with my peers,
teachers, and other adults; how I should perceive different races, groups, or
classes of people; or what ideas and behaviors are considered acceptable or
unacceptable. As what I have learn in my Curriculum Development subject, Hidden
Curriculum will not be teach in the classroom but it can be gained or influenced by the
environment. I think the hidden curriculum of mine is that of being optimistic of doing my
task and role as a student. Honestly, I always supposed to have friends who really
understand my personality, way of behaving or communicating others, and as a student
who competitively studies for out looking the future.
12. How do I know that students have really learned?
Answer:
To know that my students have really learned I should used varied assessment
methods to attest and justify their learning. If the students have met or attained the
desired learning objectives then they are learning, indeed it takes varied assessment
tools to measure their learning and evaluate them according to their learning outcomes,
performance or products.

Answer:
Learner is known as the center o of the curriculum. We all know that Curriculum
is dynamic as matter of fact it always follows the necessities of our society. Hence all of
the things that were developed innovatively were anchored to the students needs and
interest. For me to build or adjust curriculum for maximum I should able possessed vital
skills in innovating and developing my teaching styles that would serve as my credibility
and competency in facing the trending demands in the society and applying new
strategies, methodologies in preparing my students to the real life will help me much as
well.
