B. Presentation Today, we will discuss one of the literary pieces from region 1 written by Manuel E. Arguilla entitled How My Brother Leon Brought Home a Wife. Are you all familiar with the author? With his works?
b.1 Introduction of the Author Manuel E. Arguilla was born on June 17, 1911 in Nagrebcan, La Union to parents Crisanto Arguilla and Margarita Estabillo and he died on 1944. He was an Ilokano writer and best known for his short story How My Brother Leon Brought Home a Wife which won first prize in the Commonwealth Literary Contest in 1940.
