Formatting a Spreadsheet

Instructions:
1. Input the above information in a new worksheet
2. Merge and Center A1 to F1
3. Merge and Center A2 to F2
4. Bold row 1 + 2
5. Adjust columns to fit data, EXCEPT columns B & C
6. Merge and center the heading in B4 across columns B & C
7. Center align row 4
8. Format the data of columns D & E for two decimal places
9. Change the title in A4 from Item No to Item Number
10. Wrap the text in A4
11. Replace Drive with Cartridge in B8
12. Enter a formula in F5 that will calculate Net Change
13. Copy that formula in the remaining cell in column F
14. Format column F for two decimal places
15. Add and indent the word Total in A12
16. Use a formula to calculate the Total Net Change in F12 and format it for currency
17. Add a single line border to row 4, columns A-F
18. Add an accounting border to F12 (single border on top & double border on bottom)
19. Save
20. Print
21. Also print the formulas: Ctrl + ~ button button above the tab key

Formatting a Spreadsheet
1. Retrieve the spreadsheet from Independent Practice: Spreadsheet Formatting (Technology
Advancements)
2. Delete Column C
3. Adjust cell widths if necessary
4. Use a function to write a formula in C12 that will calculate the total for the cell range C5:C11 and
format the data as currency
5. Copy the formula into D12
6. Apply a accounting border to C12 & D12
7. Add Total 2 Year Sales into F4 & Percent of Total Sales into G4
8. Apply a bottom border to F4 & G4
9. Format F4 to currency and G4 to percent
10. Write a formula that adds year 1 & Year 2 into F5
11. Copy to the rest of the column that has data
12. Use (=F5/F12) to calculate the percentage
a. Highlight F12 in the formula and press the F4 key(on top of keyboard) to make it
look like: $F$12
13. Copy the formula G6:G11
14. Use a function to write a formula in G12 that will calculate the total for the cell range G5:G11
