A tropical rainforest is an ecosystem type that

occurs roughly within the latitudes 28 degrees north


or south of the equator

species of flowering plants,
139 mammal species, 508 bird
species, it is likely that many
undiscovered species live in
the Western Ghats.
The Amazon Rainforest also known the Amazon Jungle, is a moist
broadleaf forest that covers most of the Amazon Basin of South America,
The Amazon Rainforest has been described as the "Lungs of our Planet"
because it provides the essential environmental world service of
continuously recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen. More than 20 percent
of the world oxygen is produced in the Amazon Rainforest.
