Mail Checks to Chi Alpha @ 1445 N. Boonville Ave, Springfeld, MO, 65802 // memo: #2957918 Discipling the Nations God answered our prayers and provided a strong class of freshmenmostly Americans who have never been in a populaton as diverse as Purdues. Were praying these students will contnue to grow in a love, concern, and interest in their fellow internatonal students who are incredibly open to new things...including Christanity! I met Anja at our ice cream social the week before classes began. I was min- gling about the crowd when God told me to walk back to Anja and ofer her a ride to Walmart. Weve since enjoyed a few trips to the grocery store and spiritual conversatons have naturally followed. Despite an agnostc back- ground, she enjoys coming to social events and even came to our Friday wor- ship gathering just to have an experience of American church. She said it was very diferent from the cold, boring churches at home that dont seem to welcome young people. God is strring a curiosity in her, so I invited her to our upcoming Fall retreat. She sent an email with a few genuine concerns. One was that she didnt de- serve the scholarship we ofered as much as someone else who was more religious. She was also afraid of upsetng people if she didnt partcipate in prayer, worship, and Bible studies as enthusiastcally as others. Respond- ing to the email was an awesome opportunity to share the good news with her that Gods gifs are free and dont have to be deserved or earned. She was glad to hear that we would welcome and respect her even if she didnt want to partcipate in everything. Anja wrote back: Thanks for being so open minded in terms of religion and beliefs. I think I really should sign up! I am here for just 4 months, and I should take all the adventures I can! She really is on an adventure of getng to know a heavenly Father who would give everything He has, even His very Son, to welcome her into His family! Thanks for sending students like Anja on the greatest adventure of their lives through your fnancial support! Blessings, Upcoming Dates

Students who have been faithful disciples are reaching a point in the semester when God is uncovering deep- er needs in their hearts. There are many students who are seeking outside help for freedom, so pray that I would trust Jesus and clearly see what the Father is doing I can minister through His Spirit and power. Pray especially that God will bring deep revelaton to everyone at our fall retreat of what it means to follow Jesus! Anja (far right) brought her friend Caroline from Austria to our barn dance! They were both amazed to see everyone doing line dances togeth- er and having good, clean fun without alcohol! You may remember my friend Diana. She is stll on a journey to faith, but she decided to come to Fall retreat this year and will hear the gospel all week- end! Pray with me for her salvaton!! God in- creased our afecton for the natons when our friend Tug- ba (Muslim) taught us a Turkish dance at our barn dance!
