TRUCK APPOINTMENT SYSTEM FOR ALL IMPORT AFGHAN AND
BONDED UPCOUNTRY DELIVERIES

Dear Valued Customer,
DP World Karachi is proud to be a pioneer in the terminal industry when it comes to
customer facilitation and quality of service for its all stake holders. Taking another giant
step towards improving service standards and customer facilitation, DP World Karachi has
now decided to introduce Truck Appointment System for all its Afghan and bonded up-
country customers taking delivery of import containers.
Truck appointment system will allow QICT to provide unparalleled service to its existing and
prospective customers by allowing them to avail extended storage, guaranteed faster truck
turnaround times and providing them with a round the clock support call center for
assistance. TAS will also help customers to take deliveries on their preferred / pre-selected
time slots.
Operationally this would require those taking Afghan / upcountry bonded cargo to take
deliveries during the daytime only i.e. 0900 1900 since they dont have any restriction on
day time movement. On the other hand this initiative would mean DP World will be in a
better position to handle within the city cargo which has a daytime movement restriction
thus serving all customers in the best possible way.
In order to facilitate customers following services will be offered:
1. Extended Storage up to 1900hrs Savings of up to PKR 1,700/-
2. Faster Turnaround time - within 60min Savings on truck fuel cost
3. Assisted deliveries through TAS
4. Truck parking area Which will serve as a safe parking area for trucks during the
night/day.

Please note that these changes will be effective from October 01, 2014.
Customers are also notified that there will be a service charge of PKR. 400/- per full
container
A 24hrs TAS Support Call Center will be available for customers assistance regarding any
queries.
