Character - Otto Lidenbrock

He is a German scientist who is interested in Arne Saknussem's
idea of traveling to the centre of the earth. He heads the
journey team and ventures on a journey to the centre of the
earth using the notes left behind by Arne Saknussem. His
enthusiasm in reaching the centre of the earth is never
dampened by the challenges he and his team encounter.

Axel Lidenbrock
Axel is Otto Lidenbrock's nephew ; a clever young man who
successfully deciphers the encrypted code that has the clue to
the tunnel that leads to the centre of the earth . Axel , however
is the opposite in character with Otto . Axel is a pathetic and
pessimistic about the venture to the centre of the earth. He is
also always involved in mishaps that slow the team down . He is
happy when the journey comes to an end .
