Unisphere

and is unavailable when Storage Groups is enabled.

Optionally, right-click on your primary storage system, and click Create Storage Group .

2 For Storage Group Name type your primary windows host name (from the worksheet)

When asked to add LUNS or connect hosts to the Storage Group click Yes , this will
launch the Storage Group Properties window with the LUNS option selected.

From the Available LUNs window, expand the RG_5 and RG_6 containers.
Use the slide bar to see all available LUNs.

Locate LUN 51 and LUN 61 from the available LUNs. Double-click on each to move them
to the Selected LUNs window.

Click the Hosts tab.

Connected pane.

Note Even though this is a GUI, it is always a best practice to use only alpha-numeric characters
and underscores for names. Avoiding dashes and such ensures you will be able to refer to
names in any type of application.

4 Verify the LUNs are in the storage group and the host is connected by clicking on the
storage group, at the bottom of the window under Details click on the LUN tab and the
Hosts tab.
