Matthew Chesebrough Science Education COSI on Wheels Spring 2013 3 Units 1. That kids can be easily engaged in the sciences whern presented with activities their involved in. 2. Students react to outside stimulus when presented with explosions and flames. 3.That large groups of students (100 2nd graders) can be managed effectively with the right classroom management skills. 4. That Science is an absolute blast! I am a science education major and was able to see the effectiveness of planning advanced activities. The young woman who led the activities had no educational background, but she was fully engaged in her presentation and really cared about the students ability to comprehend and process the information. I enjoyed her dynamic and the way that she incorporated the students into her activities, and I look forward to doing the same in my own classroom. The activities and experiments that she did for the students could be easily scaled down for application in my classroom. I have3 already seen the way that the students interact to the experiments, so I know that they are engaged and involved. Great way to put the sciences in the students hands. Literally!
