1. Mask: What are you most proud of about your mask? Why?
I am most proud of the flag on my mask. I really like how it came out representing that different races in America.
This part of the mask really shows my view of how America should accept both races. This is because racism is still
a major part of American culture that we seem to not accept
2. Quote: Quote the section of your essay that you are most proud of and describe, in detail, why you are
proud of it.
After the Civil War, when the African American race was released from being slaves, the whites, or caucasians
as they say, still didnt treat them differently. They were tolerated until the 1960s when African Americans
started to get annoyed by the way they were being treated. Thats when Martin Luther King Jr. gave his speech
about his dream about black people being equal with white people. It was around this time that whites changed
things and African Americans were accepted a little more. Its been this way ever since, but now Im realizing
that racism is not gone in this country. I really like this quote because it really sets up the history of race in
America. It shows what came to the events that are happening now. This quote may be about history, but I need
it in the paragraph to help explain my point.
3. Biggest Take-away: What will you remember from this project? Why?
The biggest takeaway that I will get from this project or the thing I will remember most, will be the mask of myself.
It shows a part of who I am on the inside and thats what I will remember about this project.
4. Habit of Heart and Mind: Which habit of heart and mind do you need to work on in your next project
to get better at Project Based Learning? Why do you need to improve and how that Habit of Heart and Mind
will help you?
The habit of heart and mind that I need to work on in my next project to get better at Project Based Learning is
Evidence. I need to improve this because I didnt use it much in my essay and this Habit of Heart and Mind will help
me get my point across to the reader better. It will help explain and prove my point in the essay.
