Crucial points

1. Be careful when extrapolating a regression line
In some cases it is valid to make a prediction by extrapolating a
regression line; in others it is not. You must always think about the
practical context.

2. Be careful when using regression lines to predict data
Even when extrapolation is not required, regression lines do not always
give good predictions. This may be clear from a scatter diagram: the
data may not look as if it is linear, or the regression line may be a good
fit for some values but not for others.
