The understanding of chokmah

Wisdom, or chokmah in Hebrew, is one of the topics we are studying. I found a bible verse that
contains the word chokmah in it which was the verse Proverbs 2:2. The verse reads Make your
ear attentive to wisdom; incline your heart to understanding (Qashab ozen qashab chokmah
natah leb tabuwn).
Proverbs 2 is talking about the fear of God. According to David Hocking, he said Well, it is
actually not fear. It is reverential trust. It is awe. It is an understanding how God is great. This
does not mean we should fear the Lord, because what it actually means is that we must be careful
because God can do anything. This is how Proverbs 2 talks about the fear and how we should
have big faith on Him.
We could apply this verse on any tight situations. For example, one can feel that he is the
smartest in math subjects and is incomparable, even to God. We need to fear Him because if we
feel that way He might take away our knowledge in a blink of an eye. From that, we can fear
Him for the power He has and become wise and not boast on our strengths.
