Minutes of the District meeting held on March 25, 2014, 12:30 in the afternoon at
Hotel Supreme, Happy Homes Old-Lucban, Baguio City.

2. District Flag Ceremony

BATALYMPICS
Atty. Eric Ueda, the BCPC District Coordinator for District 8, informed
the members of the BATALYMPICS organized by the Baguio
Federation of Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children.
The requirements of contestants to the said children Olympics are
the following:
a) Birth Certificate
b) Must be 9-14 years of age
The games to be played during the Olympics will be the following:
a) Chess
b) Darts
c) Table tennis
d) Scrabble
e) Badminton
f) 200-meter dash
g) Dance sport
Each barangay shall conduct barangay-level elimination or at least
be able to send barangay representatives to join the district
screening on April 5, 2014, Saturday. Venue to be discussed later on.
Those who will be selected during the district screening will represent
the district in the Batalympics.
Other information regarding the said Olympics will be texted by PB
Ueda to the D8 PBs.

DISTRICT FLAG CEREMONY
It was agreed that the district will be having a flag ceremony to be
scheduled on every second (2
nd
) Monday of the last month of the
quarter.
The purpose of the flag ceremony is to update, serve as venue for
sharing and information of the different programs and projects of
the district 8 barangays and to maintain active participation of
each barangay in district activities.
The venue of the quarterly flag ceremony shall be held at the
barangay which will be chosen by the Punong Barangays of D8.
Program of the flag ceremony shall be prepared by the District
secretary-designate and shall be furnished to district 8 barangays.


All barangay officials including barangay workers are required to
attend said flag ceremony
The first district flag ceremony will be held on April 14, 2014, 8 oclock
in the morning at East Quirino Hill Barangay.

There being no other matters discussed, the meeting was adjourned at 12:50 PM.
