A Recipe for Writing Term 4 Week 1

What do my students need to learn? What are they going to learn about? How will I know they have learned it?

What is the focus for each group?
Working towards
To use least initial and final spoken sounds
in their writing and to begin using HFW.
Working at
To correctly form all known upper and lower case
letters within the dotted third.
Working above
To write words legibly of a consistent
size throughout their entire writing
sample.

Recount - To present information about something that has happened in the past including: who, what, where, when, why?

(L) Spoken sounds and words can be written down using letters of the alphabet and how to write some high-frequency sight words and known
words.
(M) Correctly form known upper and lower case letter.
(H) Write words legibly, using unjoined print script of consistent size, using appropriate pencil grip.
