Congress shall make no law respecting
an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of
the press; or the right of the people
peaceably to assemble, and to petition
the Government for a redress of
grievances

Without freedom of speech, people cannot
voice their opinions in matters that they
care about. If this were a country that
didnt allow the freedom of speech, I
could say certain things and be put in a
jail or have other punishment.

Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,
or abridging the freedom of speech, or
of the press; or the right of the people
peaceable to assemble, and to petition
the Government for a redress of
grievances

Korea or Iran, I wouldnt be able to
practice my religion freely without fears
of execution or deportation to a labor
camp.

without this amendment, we couldnt
defend ourselves if problems arose.

vote because Im Mexican.

to vote shall not be denied or abridged
by the United States or by any State on
account of sex. Congress shall have

Even though Im not of age to drink yet,

one day manufacture and distribute
alcohol.
