RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Intersession Quilted with Joshua Krause: helped a working artist prepare for an exhibition. Art 101 with Marilyn: learned the art of wire and clay from two working jewelers. A Sample of Key Projects Twilight, Los Angeles 1992: worked as assistant director of a stage production. DomiNation: collaborated with a team to invent a nation and defend its legitimacy. The Boat Project: engineered a cardboard boat that successfully navigated the bay. More in progress! A Sample of Key Courses California State Summer School for the Arts: designed websites and posters in a digital media class. Acceptance into this challenging program was competitive and required a portfolio. Idyllwild Arts: spent two weeks at an art school rigorously painting and life drawing. Stone and Steel: made a sword at Francis Parkers welding and stone-carving facility. Dance Fierce: completed five semesters (and counting) of modern dance and performance. Gateways Summer School: completed mask making, drawing, ceramics, calligraphy, and sewing. Spanish Village: attended classes focused on exploration of new materials.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE Art and Design Focused Kids Club Camp mural: spent many hours of designing and painting two 6x18 murals. PowerPoint/ProPresenter: spend about 1.5 hours every two weeks, compiling songs and sermon notes. Additional Volunteer Experience San Diego Food Bank: participate in the sorting and packaging crew every month.
