Entry 1: Technology to Support Communication
Introduction (4-6 sentences)
Technologies is how we communicate now. It is important to have it in the classroom because
the student can use it in all parts of their learning. They are able to use the smart boards to
answer math problems. They use the computer to take test on the computer and communicate
with other students in a different country. The plan for this paper is to show you the different
tools for communication in the classroom and why it is important to have the technology in the
classroom.
Technology to Enhance Communication
Email:
Would be using this tool to communicate with my parents to let them know what is going on
during their childs school day and any important details that the child may have forgot to tell
their parents. And if they had questions this would be an easy way to do it especially if their
child was having a bad day. For parents it is a speedy, informal, cost effective way to be able to
ensure that parents are able to receive important information that they may not be getting the
traditional way. With global community that it can promote positive public relation and it would
increase our responsiveness to the global community. Students would be able to communicate
with other students in another country.

Blog:
Blogs are a regular update of an online journal with brief posts. Students today are a member of
the popular culture that happens to exists beyond the walls of their school. Blogging is a way to
initiate a conservation between a teacher and the students. With global community it can be used
to reach people all over the world that have the same interest. The parents getting the opportunity
to see what the kids are interested in.



Website:
In the past few years the information and communication of technology has increased
the demands for the schools to be accountability for the website. The schools have
launched a website. The schools have launched a website so that parents and students
can embrace the educational activities, supporting the student-teacher communication,
contributing to the schools marketing efforts and they are all to fasten the
accountability. The schools website has the interlocking of different pages each
having to deal with different content layout. Parents are able to see their childrens
grades, their assignments and all of the school activities that could be coming up. The
students are able to login and see their grades and to keep up with their assignments.
For the global community there has been a greater demand for strategic planning and
marketing.


Phone:
With the time crunches, gridlock, call waiting, fax avalanches and the power
lunches are having a toll on the parents and the fact that they have less time to be
involved in their students schooling. Principals across the country are increasing
the parents involvement in school. For parents getting more involved by giving
they appropriate recognition and having constant communication. Can strengthen
the home-school relationship and expanding the parents involvement. The
students would receive rewards and it would be something that the parents would
show up too. Global community we could call the parents and talk to them in their
native language to let them know that their child had won a reward.


Communication Internet Security and Safety:
There has been a good deal of attention being paid to keeping students, parents and staff safe.
There has been technology developed from the corporate world that can serve the needs.
There is a program that is being used call Electronic Visitor Management it is widely used to
track the visitors that come in and out of the building, on campus and why they are there. The
students rights and their protections have emerged as a keep concerns. Tracking the young
lives through the web, blogs, emails, and digital photos, online profiles. Have complicated
the efforts to safeguard the young people privacy protection in digital space. There are
several websites out there to be able to keep out young people sage like:
OnGuardOnline.gov, iKeepSafe.org, GetNetWise.org, Cyberbulling411.org, and
NetSmartz.org this will help them to navigate and effectively use the internet and keep them
safe.


Concluding Paragraph (4-6 sentences)
the reason why communication in school is so important is because technology has come a long
way. And has teachers we need to be able to keep up with the technology has it changes and that
we can have it in our classrooms. And to be able to keep out students sage while they are using
the technology and while they are on the internet.
