Motion feature in Star ccm+: DFBI (Dynamic fluid body interaction)
Can be used in finding out sea keeping characteristics simulation for a model
of high speed craft.
Overset grids meshing to capture the surface more accurately, usually used for complex
structures.

Case given: A four legged pontoon attached simple TLP structure without any appendages.
Implementation of overset grids for the mesh generation and mesh conditioning.
Using the motion feature of starccm+ , a vortex induced motion simulation will be done for a
lab scale TLP and find out the translation motion characteristics surge, yaw amplitudes & its
decay rates and compare with the experimental results.
Mostly the motion will only be induced due to the current and the legs of TLP. The heading
angle will be 0/180 or 45/225.
