STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This agriculture classroom will promote cooperative and hands-on learning, positive
encouragement for all, and be a safe learning environment. All students will respect everyone in
the classroom and participate in classroom activities so all students may reach their infinite
potential.



CLASSROOM RULES
Rule 1:
Respect everyone in the classroom.
Rule 2:
Be prepared and on time for class.
Rule 3:
No cursing or putting others down.
Rule 4:
Follow all directions given by the teacher.




CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
Procedure 1:
Procedure for going to the restroom or locker.
Ask for permission
Get the hall pass from the teacher
Go to the restroom
Return promptly and return pass
Procedure 2:
Procedure for going to the animal lab.
Wait for teacher dismissal before going to the lab
Once in the lab follow instructions
You will be allowed to use the restroom at the end of the hour
Wait to be dismissed from lab




POSITIVE CONSEQUENCES
Free and frequent Intermittent Strong and long-term
Verbal compliment.
Smiles.
Leave early for lunch, or free time
at the end of class.
Positive call home to parents.
Earn points to receive a pizza
party at the end of the semester.
Field trips and/or special
projects.



NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES

General reminder of class rules

Individual consultation after class

Verbal warning in class
Level 4:
Detention (or work in lab)

Send to office

CRISIS PLAN
1:
Send responsible and mature student to office to notify what is happening.
2:
Send class to the Tech Ed. classroom across the hallway.
3:
Have another teacher try to help you calm the student down.
4:
After crisis is over bring class back into the room.
5:
Notify parents as soon as possible what happened.
