How did drums change over time?

This question connects to me because I play a
drum kit for a band

What is a drum?
When were the drums made?
Who help changed drums?
Who was the first drummer?
Are sticks required to play drums?

I used Google to search my questions and
used Wikipedia and reliable website
Resources.
The researching was not too difficult because
the resources gave me a good understanding
for my project.
Drums started during the late 1800s originally
using wood and animal skin. The drums were
known to be used by the Africans to hold
ceremonies and rituals. Now, the drums are used
almost everywhere you hear music thanks to
William Ludwigs brilliant idea of making a drum kit
now using plastic and different forms of wood.
A Drum is an instrument apart of the Percussion
family that has been known to be used during the
late 1800s

The Drums are apart of the percussion family
that is used to make music. The drum is an
oval shaped piece of wood with snare wire
and resonated drum skins that controls the
tone of the snare. Today you can hear drums
from bands or even in modern contemporary
music like rap/hip hop and dub step music.
Like most musical instruments play a melodic
role, the drum plays its own unique role in
keeping the musics beat.
The drum is know as one of the oldest
instruments known to exist and was known to
be first used by Africans in the1800s for
custom ceremonies and rituals. Drum known
to be me made with wood and animal skin
and strings to hold the components together.
Later, the military used this instrument for
marching bands and for signaling comrades
for emergency situations.
Now the drums have
changed because of a new
invention that was
founded in the early
1900s by William Ludwig
in creating a bass kick so
the musician can be free
from drumming 3 things
at a time. As a result of
this change, the drums
popularity grew and the
way drums are played are
now used as a drum kit
that began in New
Orleans.
