I have been teaching for eleven years, and I must say the OCS Blended Learning Program has been one of the most positive experiences for my students and me. The program oers age appropriate and intellectually appropriate lessons and activities. For many years my students have just been pushed through each of their classes. However, the OCS Blended Learning has given the students opportunity to take responsibility for their learning, and as a result, increase their self-esteem. My students LOVE the program. Yesterday I had one of my most calm days in 12 years of education because of all of your help and the other co-teachers. My students love the course and the activities so much... I see the students self-esteem and independence rising with each day! Thanks for the opportunity! As a high school OCS teacher, I feel that NCVPS classes are an invaluable asset to our students. The number of skills they develop from these classes are insurmountable. The students not only learn multi-media/computer skills, but organizational techniques, increased reading skills, sequencing, communication, and the ability to maintain technological skills, to name a few. Students who have trouble concentrating and staying on task can follow the lessons much more easily, and the animations and audio instructions assist with focusing their concentration. The teachers that I have been so fortunate to work with have been amazing, and I have enjoyed being a team, sharing ideas, knowledge, and developing new strategies through trial and error and by tapping into each others previous knowledge in education and life. Through the daily logs and weekly phone conversations we have been able to nd new techniques and answers for almost every challenge that has arisen in the classroom. My experience working with the NCVPS teachers and program has been wonderful, so refreshing and enlightening. It has been a joy to work with such enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers who share a desire to elevate student performance in all areas.
