TOSPT (Tallahassee Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy)

Tallahassee Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy has provided outpatient

rehabilitation services to the Big Bend area since 1988. It is locally owned and operated
by Kent Knisley. He is a physical therapist and Athletic Trainer, who has many years of
experience in High School, College and Professional sports.
They offer services for physical therapy, sports medicine, occupational therapy,
industrial rehabilition, aquatic therapy and PTplus.

Kent has served as the CEO and Administrator since starting the business
in 1988. Kent's experience in athletics includes Assistant Athletic Trainer at Manatee
Community College; Head Athletic Trainer for the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league baseball
organization; part time Athletic Trainer, Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Head Athletic Trainer, Valdosta
State College; Head Basketball and Spring Sports Athletic Trainer, Florida State University. Kent
was awarded a Doctorate of Physical Therapy by the EIM Institute after completing the
Executive Program in Private Practice Management, Radiology, Medical
Screening/Pharmacology, and Evidence-based Practice. He is also certified by Ergo-Science in
proficiency in performing Physical Work Performance Evaluations (PWPE), their trademarked
Functional Capacity Evlauation.
A native of Tallahassee, Jenny earned a Bachelor's degree in Biological
Sciences at Florida State University, a Master's degree in Physical Therapy at the University of
Florida and a Doctor of Physical Tharapy from Marymount University. She is the Clinical Director
of the Capital Medical Blvd. clinic. Jenny is certified by ErgoScience to perform their Physical
Work Parformance Evaluation, a highly developed form of a Functional Capacity Evaluation. An
avid sports fan, Jenny was a student athletic trainer in high school and college and has had
many years of experience with sports related injuries.
Lori Cate graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S.
degree in Exercise Science. She then went on to obtain her M.S. degree in physical therapy at
the University of Alabama at Birmingham in December 2003. Since graduation, Lori's clinical
experience has been in orthopedic outpatient settings treating a variety of patients with
musculoskeletal dysfunctions and injuries. She has received continuing education training in
McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the spine.
Dori is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a B.S. degree in
Occupational Therapy. She has lived in Tallahassee since 1975. She started her career in
outpatient therapy and went on to establish the first Occupational Therapy department at
Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. In August of 2002, Dori joined the TOSPT team to develop and
direct the hand therapy division, Therapy Specialists. She is currently an active member of the
American Society of Hand Therapists and the Florida Hand Society.

Dr.Tristan Owens is a Tallahassee, FL- based personal trainer of 4 years

fathers, seniors and college students. Tristan holds a BS in Nutrition Wellness, a Rehabilitative

Ashante is a certified respiratory specialist that is dedicated in increasing the
community lung health awareness. She blogs/teach classes on how to prevent lung pathologies
and cope with lung pathology if diagnosed.

TOC (Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic)
- TOC was founded in 1972 by Drs. Doug Henderson and Tom Haney as the first medical
practice in North Florida dedicated exclusively to orthopedics. The two native Floridians met
during their residency at Emory University Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia. After discovering
they had similar professional dreams, the two doctors successfully established a first-rate
sports medicine clinic in Floridas capital city, home to nationally renowned colleges and
universities.

- Leadership team:
Floyd R. Jaggears, M.D. is managing physician partner of Tallahassee
Orthopedic Clinic. He has led the TOC group of over 20 physicians, physician assistants and
nurse practitioners since 2008. He was re-elected to his position in January 2014. As managing
physician partner, Dr. Jaggears leads oversight of clinical quality assurance and improvement,
and extensive interfacing with clinic providers and administration. Dr. Jaggears earned his
medical degree from University of Florida in Gainesville and completed his residency training at
the U.S. Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He is board-certified in orthopedic
surgery as well as in orthopedic sports medicine. A native of Tallahassee, Dr. Jaggears
graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. His desire to pursue
orthopedic surgery and sports medicine was largely due to the influence of his high school
football team physicians, TOC founders Drs. Henderson and Haney. This influence gives Dr.
Jaggears the distinction of being the first TOC patient to become a partner.

R. Martin Shipman is chief executive officer of Tallahassee
Orthopedic Clinic. He was elected to his current position in April, 2003. Mr. Shipman joined
Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic in 1986 and served as a Physician Assistant, under the direction of
Dr. Tim Schmidt. In 1992, he advanced to an executive role with Tallahassee Outpatient Surgery
Center (TOSC) as administrator. Ten years later, Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic approached Mr.
Shipman with the opportunity to rejoin the group as its chief executive officer. Mr. Shipman is a
graduate of Leadership Tallahassee and serves on the executive committee board for Careers
Source, Capital Region (formerly Workforce Plus) as well as on the Business Advisory Board for
Tallahassee Community College. He is active in industry associations such as the American
Academy of Orthopedic Executives, American Academy of Pain Management, American Society
of Interventional Pain Physicians and was immediate past-president for the Bones Society of
Florida. A native of Tallahassee, Mr. Shipman graduated from Florida State University in 1978
with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned a Physician Assistant degree from Emory
University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1980 and a Master of Healthcare
Administration degree from University of St. Frances in 2003.

Kelby H. Tardi is chief financial officer of Tallahassee
Orthopedic Clinic. She was elected to her current position in June 2008. As chief financial
officer, Ms. Tardi leads the organizations financial strategy and operations, including the audit,
financial reporting, shareholder relations, planning and analysis, tax functions, as well as
oversight of the finance functions of the company. Prior to her current position, Ms. Tardi was
controller, a position she held starting in April 2003. Ms. Tardi joined Tallahassee Orthopedic
Clinic in 1999. Prior to joining Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic, Ms. Tardi served as senior
accountant at Williams, Cox, Weidner and Cox CPAs, which is now CRI - Carr Riggs and Ingram
in Tallahassee. A native of Tallahassee, Ms. Tardi graduated from Florida State University with a
Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Ms. Tardi
is a Certified Public Accountant.
