Intro
AmCorp is a military based company that is aiming to
create military wear for enlisted men and women (refer to
purpose section).
Purpose
The purpose of this company is to protect and increase the
rate of proficency, through camoflauge and other means,
that the average soldier, airman, seaman, marine, etc. has
to encountair on a daily basis.
Background
AmCorp was founded in Houston, TX in 1950 by Corporal
James B. Nuswick and Commander Harriet T. Turttlebaum.
Their purpose in founding, in what was the time a small
company, excellently equitable protection wear not only to
their men. As the years passed and their views had evolved,
they had passed the company down to Jackson Smith, who
decided to share some of the defensive equipment to the
public.
agrp2: has been found exclusively in bony fish, including
zebra-fish, trout and salmon. The protein it encodes
enables fish to change color dramatically to match their
surroundings. This agouti protein is involved in the rapid
pigment changes that allow fish to adapt to their
environment.
GFP: this is an anti-biotic resistant gene, making it so that it
can spread over the fabric easily and be pure in short.
Gene insertion into operon (switch)
Both the GFP and agrp2 strands of DNA would
be inserted into the plasmid. The insertion of
these two pieces of DNA code for camouflage
and anti-biotic resistance.
Strategy Remove Gene
Much like in a simple classroom, Amcorp uses
a simplistic approach to their spy suit. By this,
meaning that the only gene that is needed to
be have the any piece of DNA taken out of the
plasmid, in order to add the pieces of agrp2
and GFP that code for camouflage and
resistance to anti-biotics.
Gene Transfer Technique
Naked DNA gene transfer: is the process of
when DNA is passed from cell to cell through
transfection. In transformation, the DNA is
taken up by the recipient cell which gave it the
new characteristic or phenotype.
Technique to Produce More
The last quarter of the twentieth century saw
rapid development of computer technology.
Computer-aided design and computer-aided
manufacturing (CAD/CAM) dramatically changed
the process of designing and manufacturing
garments by reducing many labor-intensive
processes, increasing speed and accuracy, and
lowering costs. Garments can be developed with
CAD from sketch to pattern and cutting, either
locally or globally, in a fraction of the time it took.
