Important Notes:
**Thank you to all that were able to attend
Parent-Teacher Conferences. It is through your
support that your child can really make great
progress!
**Also, thank you to all that attended the
Halloween party. I believe the students really
enjoyed themselves.
**Friday, November 7th Avoca Elementary is
celebrating Veterans Day. If you know of a
veteran that you would like to have recognized
please fill out the Veterans Day form and
return it ASAP. If you do not have a form
please contact me so I can get one to you!
**Our class is teaming up with Mrs. Rees class
again this year for our basket raffle. Our
theme is Arts and Crafts. If you could please
donate an item or any monetary amount to be
included with the raffle please do so by
November 10th. This is when the raffle begins

**I plan to have a Thanksgiving feast on


Tuesday, November 25th at 11:00am. This feast
would take place our school lunch (you child may
still receive the school lunch if they wish).
More details to follow (regarding who will bring
what for the feast). Also, each student will be
able to choose if they would like to be a Pilgrim
or a Native American while they eat at the
feast.

*Please keep in mind that all skills do not always change on a weekly basis. Continued and repeated
practice help your child to learn and master each skill. As each class activity pertaining to a
particular skill may alter from week to week many skills will remain in focus for the entire marking
period.

-Word with double consonants at the end (fill, Bill)

High Frequency Words:
All, call, eat, every, first, never, paper, shall, why
Writing:
-Adding detail and describing words
-Review naming part of a sentence
-Writing more independently (write the sounds they
hear in the word).
Math:
-Recognizing number patterns
-Skip counting by 5s and 10s
