Learning intentions

Link students prior knowledge about being physically active in a gym

environment and apply it into different settings which are accessible to
the community.
Students should be aware of how this research can help people in their
local community as well as their own physical activity.
To develop students major assessment task by collecting all their
collected information and by honing ICT skills.

Accessing
Engager/Connection

Back in the classroom this lesson students will be allocated a goal to

achieve over the lesson so that they have an idea of all the exercises
they will be including in their presentation assessment.

Lesson: I do

The lesson will need to provide the students with structure to ensure

they remain on task. As the students will not be able to complete the
whole task within this lesson it is important to ensure all students have
their data and video evidence of their research from the park as well as
video examples ready an organised.

Guided: We do

Independent: You do

Class discussion conducted on the whiteboard.

Questions including: What was the most popular object useful
for your exercises? Are the activities that you have created and
videoed appropriate for all members of the community? Are the
activities you have considered dangerous? Why must you ensure
your exercises work different body parts?

PowerPoint presentation: expectations/format/goals

How much should be completed this lesson

Goals of the lesson

Summary of what was achieved in last lesson
Reference to areas of concern for bringing all your data, picture
and videos into a PowerPoint
Ensuring all students have an idea of what is expected of them
over the lesson
Focusing on the students ability to show initiative in researching
videos that provide further examples to park workouts that are
attainable.
Homework goal will be to upload current findings onto either
Prezi or Weebly websites so that the findings and videos can
be accessed by the school and the community.
To promote physical activity and consecutiveness of local
communities especially the environment.

Generalise/review

Being able to critically reflect upon their research both prior to the park
excursion and directly is pivotal to formatively be on track from this
lesson.
Sharing ideas and exercise will be encouraged to stimulate further
creativeness from students.
Use of ICT is very important in that you must be able to upload your
videos and pictures must be coordinated to either prezi or weebly so
that the information that is collected is accessible to the school and
community.

Assessment/Check for understanding:

Exit card -

Video and photographic evidence is assorted into a PowerPoint, Prezi or weebly presentation
format in order for assessment.
How difficult or easy was it to create these workouts?
How adaptable are these exercises to the general community? Can anyone participate in your
program?
How can you display your findings in a more engaging manner via ICT?
Additional reflections/feedback?

Next lesson focus/Differentiation needs:

Complete your sequence of exercises to commence preparation for your presentation.
Reflecting on their findings in this research students can consider the effects of inactivity and the
implications of lack of physical activity.
Students next will prepare to complete a survey conducted within the community to see why it is
important to have objectives/resources like the ones they have just created.
