Mathtastic Dribbling (partners)

6 minutes

Students will have partners picked out for them by me to be most effective this
activity. I will call out a math problem (ex: What does 5+5= ?) then they will have to
bounce the ball that many times as the answer to each problem. Partners will be side
by side, while one partner is dribbling the other partner is encouraging them and
helping them count and if needed reciting the COTS for dribbling. Then they will
switch off and the roles will reverse.

Set Up
I will take pairs of students to make a team of 6. There will be 5 different teams and
they will dribble to a cone and back while their teammates cheer them on. Once they
come back they will pass the ball to a teammate and sit down in the back of the line.
To completely finish the relay every person in a team must sit down and in a line.
