Mr, Herman B Wells, Pres.
Indiana University
Bloomington, Indiana
Dear Pres. Wells:
I am writing to confirm my telephone call to you of
yesterday, that we finally have been able toaward the
contract on the faculty housing apartments and hope to
start construction next week.
We have had a good deal of trouble in getting this project
down in cost without sacrificing the quality of the building
and room sizes; however, we realize the University's need
for this building and we have finally reached a figure that
will enable us to proceed although it is uncomfortably
tight from an investment standpoint,
I am attaching herewith a little sketch of the proposed
building. We are not too proud of it from an architectural
standpoint, but cost limitations and fenestration require-
ments create some rather difficult design problems.
With kind regards,
OI) LixccvceWillered Apartments Tne.
