Course Title: Bioethics/ Health Ethics
Credit Units: 3 units
Time Duration: 3 hours per week for 18 weeks
Course Description:
The course aims to develop understanding among students the important concepts and
principles of Bioethics. They should be sensitive enough to consider ethical considerations and face
ethical issues in public issues and patient care.
Objectives:
At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
1. Give perspective on how philosophy affects the action and decision making
2. Understand the nature of health care provider to be procreative ande pro-life in guarding health
and life of every individual.
3. Design strategies in rendering services to the client both in the hospital and community setting.
4. Apply the knowledge gained from the study to real life situation and be able to apply moral and
ethical and legal point of view.
