THE FUTURE COMMITTEE

film critique
First of all, the intro drives me into the tension feeling, especially the saw s
cene, where I expected a slow dolly camera movement would have added to the mood
.
your sound design here is the right complement to the image narrative, a very ni
ce match.
I'd like to split the pilot in the "Dr Hanson" part and the "Dr Porter" part (fr
om 03:54 forward).
The first

To increase the thriller suspence, helped by the background noise I ear, I'd hav
e used a slow dolly camera movement at 00:18.
At 01:44 I'd have used a pan movement to include a leg of a bed, or the bed's bl
ankets, just to introduce the audience to the bed scene.
At 02:55 I don't understand why you show the girl's eye extreme closeup. A meani
ngful scene here could have been if you had used a dolly movement up to a full s
creen iris that enlarges (or shrinks) the pupil with a gear techno background so
und (if you want the audience to think something strange is happening).
Little incongruence in the 03:20 shot, since the reflection differs from that se
en before ( from 02:47 fonward, and from 03:05 forward that have consistency wit
h the ambient as seen in the previous shots).
You should put the TV speaker at right of the screen, so to mantain the right re
flection at left, as seen before.
At 03:53, when the girl enters the Room 12, I feel not so believable that a rele
vant robot upgrade, to be presented to the scientific world, could be executed o
n the Room's bed.
