Facts and Figures: Baltimore

Baltimore Mental Health:
Since 1991 Volunteers of America Chesapeake has provided mental health services to adults
throughout greater Baltimore in community living residences staffed 24-hours a day. Services
include community integration, life skills, medication management, counseling, crisis
intervention.

Residential Re-Entry Center:

The nations largest re-entry center serving Federal ex-offenders and the only federal re-entry
center in Maryland. VOAC has been providing re-entry services in Baltimore for more than 30
years. Assists more than 700 individuals in making successful transitions from correctional
facilities back into our communities.

Pratt St. Transitional Housing:

Helping to bridge the gap between homelessness and permanent housing for Baltimore families
in need. 2 year program helps prepare families to obtain and maintain permanent housing
through individualized transition plans that address the factors that led to homelessness. Home
to 35 families with more than 90% able to maintain permanent housing after successfully
completing the program.

Over 100 children who were at risk of languishing in homelessness, are now being propelled
towards a productive and positive future. Volunteers of America creates experiences to inspire
these young people to dream and accomplish their very best.

Paca House:
Currently providing supportive housing to homeless adults (singles) in Baltimore. Working with
chronically homeless adults to develop life skills, address mental health challenges, seek
substance abuse counseling, etc. Also offering Veterans preferred housing to assist our nations
heroes in regaining their self reliance.
