Objectives:

Students will be able to:


1. Recognize signs of an effective school
2. Contribute to their school in order for it to be an effective
school
3. Recognize everyones role in making a school an
effective school (teachers, administrators, students, &
parents)

Materials Needed:

Pen/Paper
Power Point Presentation

Intro:

Discuss Chapter 2 in the book, Those Who Can, Teach, which


students have previously read. Go over Power Point.

(2 minutes)

Activity:
(5 minutes)

Students will co un Each student will count off into one of four groups: the parent
group, teacher group, administrator group, or student group.
They will come up with positive ways in which their group
contributes to an effective school and talk about roadblocks
their group might encounter.
Groups will present their ideas to the class and there will be a
short class discussion to ensure comprehension.
