I serve as a barangay health volunteer in our barangay two Saturdays a month. I
cleaned by sweeping the floors and fixing papers and documents at the filing cabinet. Sometimes when I come early, there will be one or two kabarangays looking for the barangay captain already . Their wants or needs may be different but being able to help them in their needs just by informing the barangay captain is already something for them. At one time, someone came asking for barangay certificate. It happened that Ate Margie, the barangay secretary, cannot come. Cap. Lito, our barangay captain asked me to type for the certificate. Whenever or whatever helped I can give freely to this kabarangay is enough for me. A simple maraming salamat brings joy to my heart. A smile from them makes my day complete. I remembered during the barangay election day, so many people were in the barangay. Its like fiesta. Our barangay captain is very generous , a nod from him (meaning ok) is enough. Ate Jinny, the barangay captains wife is just as good and friendly. She and my mother are friends. Ate Jinny would offer merienda of turon or banana que for my Saturday . The fifth gospel speaks about evangelizing. I thank the Lord for giving me this opportunity of having to evangelized by serving as a health volunteer in our barangay.
