With Flash Cards

1. Slap the Card

Place flash cards face up in random order on the desk. Then, the teacher says a word and students
must slap the right card while repeating the word.
2. Memory Match
Place two sets of flash cards face down in random order on the desk. Students must take turns
picking up the two cards. If the cards are the same, the student takes them. The student who gets
the most cards wins.
3. Mime
Place the flash cards in a box. A student picks up one card and explains the word on it using body
language. Other students must guess what the word is.
4. Raise the Card
Place flash cards face up in random order on the desk. The teacher says a word, and the students
must raise the right card while repeating the word.
5. Whisper Game
Divide students into two groups and have them stand in two lines. The teacher whispers a word to
the first student in each line. The first student whispers the word to the second student, who then
whispers it to the third student and so on. The last student in each line must run to the board and
write that word on the board. The first student who writes the correct word gets a point.
