Abstract

Here, we are implementing a high performance hybrid watermarking scheme for digital
images based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and
Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). The two main aspects of watermarking schemes are
copyright protected and robustness. Here, first we perform the embedding. In second step we
will insert attacks on embedded image. Third, we will extract the hidden image from attacked
embedded image. Finally, we will compare the quality of embedded image and extracted image
on the basis of values of some parameters like PSNR, MSE, Normalized Correlation Coefficient
and Correlation Coefficient.
In embedding process, the principal components of the watermark in the DCT domain of
DWT sub band of host image, for providing copyright protection as well as reliability. Since
Scaling factor is an image dependent so we are providing it in the form of a matrix. The choice
of suitable scaling factors is such that to provide efficient robustness and fidelity of the scheme.
In extraction process, we just follow the reverse procedure of embedding algorithm. Here
also we use the same scaling factor. Also, since the image is extracted from embedded image
under attack; so the effects of those can be observed significantly on quality of extracted image.
We have also displayed the experimental results and comparisons are provided to illustrate
that the proposed scheme is able to withstand for a variety of images with different image
processing attacks as well as imperceptibility.
