Introduction
Hi, my name is Shannon Hawkey. I am 21 years old and am currently in my second year study at
Unitec School of Performing and Screen Arts, completing my Degree Bachelor in Performing and
Screen Arts.
I am originally from Marlborough. I grew up in Renwick, a small town just 10 minutes out of
Blenheim. I lived there my whole life until I finished Year 13 and moved to Christchurch for one year
to study with the Hagley Theatre Company. Even though this is a two year course, I was lucky
enough to be accepted into Unitec after my first year and as a result moved up to Auckland.
I have also completed a Personal Training course alongside my acting studies, with the hope of
working as a Personal Trainer when the acting jobs are hard to come by. I have finished part one and
am now completing part 2 Business Studies.
Upon graduation I hope to work within the Screen/tv/film industry as this is where my passion for
acting is. I love the atmosphere of working on set as it is such a collaborative process. I have starred
in many short films as part of our Studio work at Unitec, please find photos and descriptions of each
film under the professional section of the website.
Career Objective
I am a highly-motivated and dedicated actress. I have a passion for all areas of the Performing Arts
Industry, Dance, Music and Theatre. I have a strong passion for film and television and want to
explore this medium of the industry in greater depth upon graduation, with the vision of staring in
many short films, television series and voice over work.
Certification
I am currently at the end of my second year study at Unitec, completing a Bachelor in Performing
and Screen Arts, next year 2015 will be my third and final year of my degree.

Performing as lead characters in various theatre shows with other talented artists
My ability to keep up to date with Researching the latest trend and technology, in order to bring
the best out in me and provide the best to the company.
My passion for a strong character development. I enjoy researching about my characters and
discovering what their personality traits are, in doing so I also learn more about society as a whole as
I find the psychology component of character development extremely interesting and important.
