FULL THROTTLE FREEDOM

You have a brother in prison
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas
season!!

Remember those
who are in prison, as
though in prison with
them, and those who
are mistreated, since
you also are in the
body.
Hebrews 13:3

Another summer has come and gone and it sure did seem to go quick. As I am typing this we have
received about 6 feet of snow in the last week, winter is here with a vengeance!

I just finished the in-depth Bible study in the book of Revelation in Ojibway Correctional. This study
is on a Friday and we are able to go more in depth, as a result of that the study went for 13 months. The
study started with a group of 6 guys and grew to 30-35. Now we have just started the book of Hebrews. I
have told the men to feel free to ask questions and we get into many good conversations! Both of these
books were requested by the men because many have never really studied these books by themselves or
with other pastors. I have found a severe lack of sound biblical knowledge inside the prison and it seems
that a lot of the men have developed their theology based on T.V. preachers. What is strange is that one of
the biggest false teachings inside is Name it and Claim it or Blab it and Grab it type theology! There
really isnt anything to claim or grab for except maybe more Cup-O-Soup from the prison store! The
scripture sure is right on when it says in 2 Timothy Chapter 4:2-5 Preach the word! Be ready in season and
out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suering and teaching. For the time will come when
they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they
will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside
to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure aictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your
ministry.

The Sunday church services are also going well. In addition to the 5:20 service that I have always
done I am now doing the Spanish service (with a translator of course). We are working our way through the
book of John right now after going through 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings. The men have a real hunger
for the Word of the Lord! I have been seeing some other fruit from the men as well. Some of them have
started a morning prayer group and 2 dierent Bible studies in the yard! There are over 1250 men at
Ojibway Correctional with over 500 that identify as Christians but only around 100-120 attend services
weekly. The prayer group and the Bible studies the men are doing have a definite possibility to reach those
others! Please be keeping these studies in your prayers!

Ojibway Correctional allowed a band named 513FREE (Check them out!) come in to do a concert for

the men and the Chaplain asked Keith and I to come in and help pass out tracts and Bible studies from the
band. When we arrived for the concert, the band asked that I would give a short message to the men. I did
not expect this but the Bible says in 1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be
prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do
this with gentleness and respect. 513FREE was great! There music really touched the men! When I gave
the message I asked if anyone wanted to accept Christ to come up front I saw 3 guys come up! Keith was in
the back praying and praising God for the new souls added for the Kingdom and he said that there were
closer to 40 guys accepting Christ!! God is really adding to the number daily those being saved!

The ministry at Marquette Branch Prison has been very hard. I go into the maximum security part of

the prison 3 of the 4 Wednesdays a month. These Wednesday times are the only church service that the men
can have. Out of the 450-500 men in maximum security only 12 men go to the service and few of them are
saved. There used to be 24 men going but some of them have moved to other prisons or are on lockdown.
The max that the prison would allow to go is 24 because they are a dangerous bunch. These men are locked
in single person cells for at least 20 hours a day. So often times the men try to use this time to talk to each
other. One atheist came in with the purpose of disrupting the message and tried to interrupt and make jokes.
He also tried to grill me on Christianity but God gave me the answers to his questions and now this man
comes in for the service and listens! One man who has served 20 years actually came up to me and asked
my forgiveness for talking during the service. The way this service started almost 2 years ago this I count as
fruit. The men are beginning to listen and want to know what a relationship with Jesus means! Please be
praying for revival inside Marquette Branch Prison! Only God can break through those hard walls of both the
prison and the hearts of the men!

I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shallI send and who will go for Us?
Then I said, Here am I! Send me. Isaiah 6:8
One of our friends said,You hold the rope, and I will climb down. This is a great picture of missions. One person
is supporting (holding the rope) the missionary, while the missionary (climbs down) works full-time reaching the
lost and discipling the saved. Please pray about supporting Gods work in the prison financially.

-Pray for our family: to be healthy and have the finances to pay our bills and necessities.
-Pray for the needs for the ministry: Gas money and other expenses.
-Pray for the men and women who are without their loved ones this season. Also pray against the sheer
depression and the thoughts of suicide. Pray for the hope of God to break through!
-Pray that God would give even more opportunities to share the Gospel in the prisons and in everyday
life.

-Pray for revival!
