The Faculty Of Medical And Human Sciences Salary : 16,577 to 19,083 pro rata The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work wishes to appoint a secretary to provide a high quality secretarial service to staff in the School. The role will involve considerable telephone, written and email communication with a wide range of personnel and you will be required to maintain confidentiality at all times. The duties of the job include:
Preparation of correspondence e.g. mass mailings
Arranging meetings and distribution of papers, including taking and typing of minutes of meetings Assist in the preparation of project reports, follow-up grant applications and Research Ethics Committees applications this will include typing, collating papers, updating CVs, data input and obtaining signatures Assist with typing up reports and research papers using appropriate computer software (e.g. MS Word and Excel) & the preparation of presentations using packages such as PowerPoint Assist with organising meetings, conferences and seminars both at outside venues and within the University and all associated travel arrangements Assist with the website and social media developments that are part of the research programme Process requisitions, orders and receipts using financial system & assist with the processing of fees and expenses forms Appropriate handling of confidential data or other information including the processing of sickness and absence records
