Question 1 -Do you feel that the

sexual violence is needed within gta?

The results i received from this

question were quite one way. The
question was about violence within
gta, one of the main aspects of the
game. 57.14% of the votes said that
sexual violence wasn't needed
within the game, whilst 28.57%
disagreed with the point i made.
Just the one person was undecided.

Question 2 Do you feel the use of

weapons is over excessive in gta?

Is the use of weapons over

excessive? That was the question i
asked. And there was one clear
answer. Yes. 71% of the people i
asked felt that the use of weapons
was too much. However, i must
state that only one of the people
who answered my questionarre
were over 18 years of age.
Therfore, it shouldnt matter to
them at this current stage
whether the use of weapons was
to much, becuase they shouldnt be
playing the game in the first place.
The final 2 people left to answer
the questionnaire were split. One
answered no, and the other
answered maybe.

QUESTION 3 on a scale of 1-5, how do you

feel that the violence in gta has an effect
on how you behave?

This question was different to the others as

the public had to answer on a scale basis. It
was about how the behaviour on the game
affected their personal behaviour. 1 being
the lowest and 5 being the highest. This was
the most even answered amount of answers
that id recieved so far. 1 answered for 1 out
of 5, 2 people rated it 2 out of 5, none voted it
half way out 3, 1 answered at 4, and finally
the most popluar answer was 5. this
concludes that the public feel that the
behaviour on the video game does effect
them and their behaviour on a day-to-day
basis. But do they take it as far? Do they go
round killing and shooting people? Do they
steal cars? I dont think they do, becuase if
they did, they wouldnt have been able to
answer this questionairre.

QUESTION 4 HOW MANY HOURS OF

GTA HAVE YOU PLAYED THIS WEEK?

This question was to o with the

amounbt of game time played on
gta. In total, up to 24 hours of gta
was played in a week between just
7 people. The most common amount
of game time was 1-3 hours, whilst
0-1 and 5+ had one selection each.

QUESTION 5 WHAT POSITIVES DO

YOU TAKE FROM THE GAME?

This was a question where the public

could leave a answer on what they
thought, rather than categories
that they had to select. The
question was about the positives
that you take from the game. All in
all, there werent any real positive
answers. The only one on exception
was that you make friends whilst
playing online and it a social event.
Other answers included that their
reactions improved and so did their
alertness. The remaining answer
were negative, saying there was
nothing positive to take from the
game play.

QUESTION 6 DO YOU FEEL THE

VIOLENCE IS REAL?

Do you feel the violence is real?

This was my sixth question. The
majority said that they felt the
violence was real, and that this
was a good part of the game
experience. One person said they
didnt feel the violence was real,
and two people said that only on
certain occasions do they feel the
violence is real, and therefore
their vote was split.

QUESTION 7 HAVE YOU SEEN THE

VIOLENCE THAT YOU SEE IN THE GAME
HAPPEN IN THE STREETS

This question was to do with day

to day life experiences. I asked
about the violence on the game
itself, and whether they had seen
this kind of violence on the
streets where they live. To my
suprise, 4 people said they had
seen similar violence to what
they see on gta. A quarter of that
number said they hadnt seen
violence like that, whilst 2
people said they had seen violence
but on a lesser scale to what was
seen on the game

QUESTION 8 IF YES, DO YOU FEEL THEIR

ACTIONS MAY HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY
GTA?

This question was linked to the

previous question. Only six people
could answer this because they
were the only ones to have seen
violence on the streets similar to
the violence on the game. I asked
may the violence that you saw,
have been effected by the actions
on gta. 2 people agreed, and said
that they thought the actions/
violence they saw on the streets,
would have been down to the game
play on gta. Whilst double that
number said that no, the violence
had nothing to do with the game.

QUESTION 9 DO YOU FEEL THE GAME

WOULD HAVE BEEN AS GOOD WITHOUT
VIOLENCE?

Would the game be as good

without violence? A difficult
decision because this is what the
game is based around. The vote
was split evenly, with two
people saying that yes, the game
woul be just as good, 3 said no i
wouldnt, and 2 said maybe, and
that they would have to play
the game without violence to see
if it was better or worse.

QUESTION 10 IF YES, WHY?

Only two people could answer

this question as it was linked to
the last. Their responses were
that the game would be better
and calmer if the game included
less violence and would therfore
be bough down from such a high
age restriction.
