leadership that has an effect on revolutionary
change in organizations through a committed
vision

peacefully

British and made his own clothing

he went to jail willingly multiple times and fasted

to stop riots that have happened

Gandhi Feeling Salty (Challenge the Process)

When India was under British rule there was

a law saying that Indians could not make
their own salt
Gandhi addressed this issue of the law
British taxed the salt on an outrageous scale

Gandhi Feeling Salty (Challenge the Process Cont.)

With this law it symbolized the absolute

control over the Indians

Gandhi's goal was to relieve or to abolish

this control

Gandhi Feeling Salty (Inspired a Vision)

He asked the British to move out of the
country
They are a minority in the country
there are only 100,000 Englishmen
They only humiliate them to maintain
power
Rather have their own Government

Gandhi Feeling Salty (Inspired a Vision Cont.)

Worries about those in poverty

Rather be ruled by themselves
even if they are bad

The Gandhi Epicness

Gandhi told the people that by wearing the englishmens cloths shows that w
you're giving in to them
In response to this he started to make his own clothing

Gandhi Feeling Salty(Enabled Others to Act)

He marched/walked to the sea that is over 500 miles away
He made salt
Making salt was illegal under the British law
British left it alone, which was a huge mistake on their part
Indian made salt was made much cheaper than British made

Gandhi Feeling Salty(Enabled Others to Act

Cont.)

He had people burn none Indian made

clothing making it a bon fire
He didn't like the fact that Englishmen
had Indians make cloth but they, instead,
make their own cloth and sell it in India

The Final Gandhi

Gandhi was a man who saw the wrongs of the British
empire
He wanted his people, the Indians, to be free the
oppressions of the British
He fought them with a sword that could take down any
empire, the sword of words and non-violence protests

The Final Gandhi

Gandhi was a champion of the Indian people
Challenged the process
inspired a vision
enabled others to act
modeled the way for people
