Educational Philosophy

Education goals have changed from time to time. Today, educational goals or objectives
can be summed up to: Education is spreading of knowledge in different subjects to students that
will help them in building a career. Another goal includes students learning how to interact and
behave in society. Students also learn these behaviors from their family but in schools they are
taught how to behave, how to talk to peers, and about the world around them. Educational goal
may also include students learning about different cultures or ethnicities. All of these goals must
be included in a teachers mission of providing excellent education to the students.
The main goal of education for me is to provide the students the education that will help
them in the future to create a bright career. The material that should be taught to students is given
to the teachers in their grade-level curriculum. To do this teachers need to understand how
students learn and develop. They need to be aware of different teaching and learning styles.
Teachers need to provide opportunities for students in which they can advance in education,
social, personal skills. I will be sure to provide the students with lessons that will help them
advance no matter what their learning abilities are.
It is important to provide the students with an environment that will be secure and
surrounded with peers that respect each other and the teacher. My classroom will have rules and
regulations that will be followed by each students and if not followed they will face
consequences. Teacher are required to have good management skills to handle the classroom. I
will provide an environment for the students in which they are freely to propose their opinions
about topic and in return the classmates will be expected to listen and respect each other.
Students in schools should be taught about diversity and different cultures that surround
them. To accomplish this goal I would use different teaching strategies. I will be aware of the
different gender, race, and ethnicities that will be in my classroom. Students will interact with
other different racial and gender groups, it will result in less discrimination against each other. I
will make sure students respect each other and everyone is friendly towards one another. I wish
to create a team in my classroom environment where all the team-mates look after each other and
we respect one another.
We are surrounded in a world filled with technology and as a teacher it is my job to
introduce new technologies to the students and inform them about it. Teachers have to learn
about technologies and learn how to accommodate it into the lesson plans. It will benefit the
teacher and the students if technology is used in classroom. Using power-points will help me
present a lecture and will help students listen and write down notes at the same time. Videos can
help demonstrate a topic that students might be struggling with.
Education is important to all of us, it helps us make a bright future. As a future teacher, it
is my responsibility to provide the students with opportunities that will help them in getting an
excellent education. As stated by Hebert I. London, schools will create a community for
learning, where students, parents, and staff are joined in the pursuit of academic excellence and
personal growth in a caring environment. I agree with him because he sums up the goals of

education. Overall, education is the key to a successful future and as a future teacher I will
provide excellent education for my students.
