Kitsap County Prosecutors Office, Port Orchard, WA; Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, February 2009 Present
Trial Attorney in the Felony Drug Division; specially assigned to all Human Trafficking cases.
Advanced Trial ExperienceMore than 30 jury trials to verdict, including multiple strike offense and Class A felony
convictions. Notable convictions: State v. Anthony Parker; State v. Geoffrey Lawson; State v. Allixzander Harris.
CaseloadTypically over 30-40 pending cases. Have prosecuted a vast array of crimes, including Human Trafficking,
Leading Organized Crime, Promoting Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Voyeurism, Assault, Kidnapping, Burglary,
Robbery, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Depictions of Minors, Cyber-Stalking, Complex Financial
offenses and property crimes. Currently co-chair on a First Degree Murder case, State v. David Kalac.
Designated Human Trafficking ProsecutorCreated the SAIVS protocol for county human trafficking investigations
and prosecution. Conduct training and education for law enforcement agencies on investigating and prosecuting human
trafficking cases. Created the first diversion court in the state for human trafficking victims. Helped coordinate 3 largescale sting operations, involving local, state and federal agencies, to target traffickers and consumers. Numerous jury trials
to verdict, including State v. Anthony D. Parker, convicting on all 11 counts and a 50 year prison sentence; State v.
Allixzander Harris, convicting on all 8 counts and a 40.5 year prison sentence, the case included convictions on 4 codefendants and 4 consumers. Speak to schools, community organizations, and NGOs to educate and bring awareness.
Appellate WorkWrote response brief for the Court of Appeals, State v. Geoffrey Lawson. Have written response briefs
and presented oral argument on three other RALJ appeals.
Honors: Presenter at Shared Hope Internationals 2014 JuST Conference in Washington, DC; Received the Bremerton
Police Chief Coin for work on Human Trafficking.
