Description

Concluding our study of ethics and the law, students were to

Ethics
create either a brochure or presentation on the importance of
Brochure OR ethics in the workplace. Students were to take on the role of a
Presentation Small Business Administration representative discussing ethics
to small business owners.
At the conclusion of learning about torts, students were given the
basic details regarding the Liebeck v. McDonalds case. The lesson
plan used is a widely used plan called The Case of the Spilled
Coffee.

Liebeck v.
McDonalds

Students were given the role of attorney for either the plaintiff or
the defendant. Students had to conduct more research and
develop a good argument for their party. Both groups of
attorneys were given time to make their arguments.
Once finished, students were shown a documentary covering the
case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCkL9UlmCOE. This
particular documentary gave details that students were unaware
of initially. This helped to give students a different viewpoint
towards the entire case.
Upon conclusion of the contractual relationships unit, students
were given roles as record company lawyers or a recording artist
and his agent.

Project
#3

Negotiation

Students were to negotiate certain terms of a contract. Each

group was given the goals of his/her assigned party. Going back
and forth through the negotiation process students earned points
based on how close or better to the parties goals that were
negotiated.
Students later wrote a basic contract based on the final
negotiated terms.
Basic lesson plan is from
