Teaching Experience

Led the roughly 60 member trumpet section for two years as co-section leader. Worked in sectionals to improve
marching, music, and all other aspects of musicality and visual presentation on the field. Achieved through
partnered work with my other section leader and team of 5 other field staff members.

Collaborated with my brass quintet between my junior and senior year of college to travel to the schools and
perform for elementary students. Presented and performed at Wildwood Elementary in Amherst for our quintet
coachs daughter, who attended the school. We have also performed at numerous retirement homes and facilities
providing entertainment and musical presentations to the elderly.

Taught private lessons to trumpet students throughout my time at UMass ranging in ability levels from beginner
to advanced high school players. Presently, I have an active studio of students.

From August 28th through October 20th I spent each Monday-Friday working at two of Northboroughs
Elementary Schools: Lincoln and Peaslee along with three days spending the first 6th grade general music class at
Melican Middle School. At this placement my supervising teacher Mrs. Whalen and I worked with 1st through 6th
grade students augmenting their musical knowledge and fostering an excitement in music that would carry them
to High School and beyond. This was a achieved through song, dance, movement, literacy, conducting, and
performing.

From October 21st through December 11th I will be working with 6th through 8th grade students at the Gibbons
Middle and Mill Pond School in Westborough. More information will be added when I start this placement.
