Satire Essay
After reading Bryce Sullivans Editorial You, Me, & Biology I came to my own conclusion that
might as well represent anyone else opinion about this. Like millions of others people, everyone has
some type subject they enjoy above the others, whether its math, English, social studies, or even
science. Hmm . . . science for some reason it doesnt seem to fit the description so well, because I mean
who in their right mind would enjoy science or even find any useful in any possible way. I mean of
course their subject that branch off in science like biology and many others, but COME ON, before there
was even a Science; humans were still just as fine. In addition, whats the deal with evolution; its
completely the most bizarre thing Ive ever heard of, do you seriously believe we came from monkeys.
That aside the part of science I despise the most is Biology. Biology is the study of living
organisms, divided into many various fields that cover their morphology, physiology, anatomy, behavior,
origin, and distribution, but do we seriously need to know that. Biology is all about studying life and
living organisms, I mean Im living and organism, but do you see anyone studying me. But how
important is biology to our everyday routines, exactly? My answer is straight and simple, it isnt.
From genetics to physiology, the many branches of biology have much to tell us about what
the human body is made up of, how it works, and how its affected by what we eat, the air we
breathe, and every other aspect of the world around us, but to be honest Id rather think about more
exciting things; who cares about the how the human body works. Dont even get me started on
biologys role in the study of genetics and DNA. How scientists believe that they are now able to

pinpoint exactly where certain tendency to certain diseases exists without our biological makeup, how
theyre passed from generation to generation, and even working on breakthroughs to remove
undesirable traits from people on a molecular level. Seriously, what nonsense is this whod possibly
believe theres some type invisible entity involved in what makes a person?
But this concludes my statement: How can you live without knowledge of biology? How can you

endure such ignorance regarding the environment around you, microbial, plant and animal life
and their anatomy and physiology, how can you satisfy your curiosity about how things function
and why they do so, how can you understand your origin or improve the food you eat or cure
diseases? But the answer is simple Dont dare to think about it, because ignorance is the best
policy.
