Conventional (often disapp.) = tending to follow what is done or considered acceptable by society in general; normal and ordinary, and perhaps not very interesting. She's very conventional in her views. Unflappable (informal) = able to stay calm in a difficult situation Imperturbable (formal) = not easily upset or worried by a difficult situation; calm. His normally imperturbable secretary burst into tears. Spunky (informal) = brave and determined; full of enthusiasm. She is bright, tough and spunky.
