Sol Sol :

It is a dance number in perfect Vijay style with peppy beats. The song starts with Abhay Jodhpurkar's
refrain 'Sol Sol'. Vijay prakash delivers his parts with Panache. The female singer Megha's beautiful voice
stands out. Look out for Vijay's dance in this song which will be a sure hit among his fans. Overall, a good
dance number which will suit Vijay's image.

Tamil Pasanga :
This different attempt from GV will come as a surprise to his followers. This Techno/Rap song begins
with the refrain "Thamizha" - a well rendered rap sequence by 'Psycho Unit'. The starting gives ample
space for Vijay to show off his moves. Benny Dayal's energetic lead vocals combine well with the
electronic patches and overall it sounds good. Another song tailor made for Vijay, though it is not his
traditional 'Mass' song.

Thalapathy Thalapathy :
This hero worship song begins with the squeal of a trumpet. As soon as the groove starts, energy pours
into the song. It is a slightly confused attempt by GV to combine the 80's type war/fighting type song
with modern sounding vocals. "Thalapathy thalapathy" especially reminds you so much of those old
times. Haricharan and Pooja have sung their parts spotlessly. This combination of the old Trumpet style
war song with a modern twist is very different from Vijay's earlier songs.
Yaar Indha :
This song sung by GV and his wife Saindhavi ( Almost every one of his albums has one song from the duo
) is a routine melody from his stables. Certain portions remind you of 'Sevvanam Salai' from Mozhi. It is a
passable melody. One bright spot in the song is the string section and beats in the middle ( which faintly
sound like tapping the table). GV's melody fans will be disappointed with this average fare.
Vanganna Vanganna :
This song ( was leaked a couple of weeks back ) has been sung by actor Vijay himself. It may work just
because of that. Vijay's vocals are actually good and he has managed to bring out all the different
emotions required in this 'Soup' song. A certain middle portion bears traces to "Suthudhu Suthudhu"
from 'Kaadhal en Kaadhal'. It would be nice to watch this song on screen because of Vijay acting for his
own vocals.

Esctasy of Dance :

This breezy instrumental ( Flute/Violin dominated ) has an Western Orchestral feel to it. This
experimental song from GV with peppy beats is brilliant in certain portions and overall a great attempt

OVERALL :
A very different Vijay Album with songs in a lot of genres though GV's trademark melody is missing. An
average album.
