Kaitlyn Scott
I am pleased to write this recommendation for Kaitlyn Scott. I have served as her
student teaching supervisor for Drake University during this Fall 2014 semester.
Kaitlyn has done her student teaching at Hanawalt Elementary School in a first
grade classroom.
Kaitlyn has done an excellent job of building relationships while at Hanawalt. She
worked very hard to get to know and understand the needs of the students in her
room. The students have responded to her firm, caring approach with trust and
respect. These relationships have been valuable for Kaitlyn as she manages the
many facets of teaching first grade.
Mrs. Scott has consistently been well prepared to teach the lessons she is
responsible for. She knows the strengths and needs of the students and plans
activities that guide the students toward the daily objectives in the subjects she
teaches. Her demeanor as she works with large group and small group instruction
is business-like yet with kind understanding.
Kaitlyn has developed good working relationships with other staff members at
Hanawalt Elementary. They see her as competent and willing to be a part of the
school in any way that will assist the students.
I highly recommend Kaitlyn Scott for any teaching position for which she is certified.
I believe she will be a loyal and competent asset to the school in which she teaches.
