Technology is the future of our world.

needed in the classroom to enhance learning.

Technology is
It needs to be

used as an enhancement tool, not as the primary teaching tool.

The possibilities of technology is endless in education, but
with that being said it needs to be meaningful to the lessons.
Educators also need to educate themselves on the latest
available technology so they can take their classroom to the
next level.

According to the Lindsay Daughtery, Technology can

provide an additional set of tools to address skill gaps

(rand.org, 2014).

Technology can take students to whole new

levels, and can help them achieve more than they could imagine.
There are numerous ways to use technology in a classroom.
There are simple ways Im using it at present time, but I need
to learn much more about technology use also.

Susan OHara

asks, How can teachers begin to use technology more effectively

and efficiently in their classrooms? (eduction.com, 2014).

She

goes on to say that one important part is for teachers to learn

how to modify their existing learning environment.

We use abcmouse.com.

To access this we

We also have a projector in our classroom to use

when we show these letter videos that go along with our letter
of the week. Our main source of technology use is for GOLD

documenting.

This is an assessment tool that is required by the

state that we use.

It has development check points that have to

be assessed three times a year and then documented into the

program.
There are also other forms of technology I would like to
use in the classroom.

One of them is the smart board.

a great hands-on learning tool.

This is

It is another way to get

children involved in the classroom and could be a way to get

them involved without it being overwhelming.

Multiple children

can use the smart board at one time, which might help children
who dont have a lot of confidence. As stated by Tina
Barseghian, one way to reach at risk students is to have them
create information instead of consuming it (blogs.kqed.org
2011).

Smart boards are a great way for students to create

their own lessons and enhance what the teacher is teaching.

Technology can be used to help address diverse needs of
children from different backgrounds in multiple ways.

One way

that I see it helping is by providing numerous learning

opportunities in a classroom of children at various learning
levels.

Technology can be used to enhance each childs learning

at their level and not just the class as a whole.

also learning differently.

All children

Some of them need hands on, which

can be provided with apps, some learn by hearing, which can be

provided with special devices to help project voices, and some

learn by reading, which can be provided by other apps to help

them learn new words and read at their own rate.

As stated by

Mike Britland, Technology places the world in the hands of

every student inside the confines of your classroom (2014).

All

children learn in their own ways and technology can enhance that
when used appropriately and children can grow by leaps and
bounds!
