After searching various companies internship programs including big companies like Apple, Google, HewlettPackard and many more, I decided that your internship program would be the best option. To get my Computer
Engineering career started, your 12 week Explore Microsoft Program would help me get an inside look at how I would
apply my knowledge and at the same time meet people who have worked in this industry for a long time. I believe that I
qualify for your internship since many of the requirements I meet. For example, I am a sophomore at college, I am
Hispanic which I feel that in this industry we do not get as much representation as possible and I have a passion for
computer whether is fixing one or building one from scratch.
In my short career as a college student, I have been able to acquire many experiences that have shape my
interest for computers. I learned to work with computers when I was eight years old and ever since I been fascinated
with the Windows Operating System. When I started my computer introduction classes I was fascinated by how much I
had learned by myself, that when taking this class I passed the class with a high A. In my computer class our task was to
learn the Microsoft office software 2013 and I am now proficient in working with this software. I am currently learning
the computer language C++, and by the end of the semester I would be skillful in using the C++ language. With my
knowledge of the C++ computer language I will be able to further advance my skills in the creation of computer
software.
In conclusion the various skills that I have acquired in such a short time I believe make me a good candidate to
your internship program. I feel the need to represent the Hispanic community in the technology industry because as you
have stated our community is not well represented at the moment. I feel that I will bring innovation and a lot enthusiasm
if am given the chance to join your program. I can further advance Microsoft mission in creating new ways to use a
computer whether is for professional or educationally purposes. I would like to thank you for the opportunity and thank
you for your consideration.

SALES

When working on all my previous jobs my responsibilities were to make sales.

When working at target I have to offer the Target card to every costumer that is checking out and I
have to give my sales pitch to almost everyone because out of every one hundred costumer that walks
in at least one will be interested to sign up for a target card.

COMMUNICATION

Working at all of my jobs I have to communicate with my co-workers and with my leaders.

I also take the advantage being able to speak two languages because I can translate and help other
people who might not speak English.
