Political Platform

Preamble:
The Dog Party supports the strengthening of the middle class, the diversity of the
American people, and exercising our inborn freedoms to their fullest potential. We support a
womans right to choose what she believes is best for her body and dont plan to enforce any
pro-life laws or restrict the a womans decisions regarding her reproductive system. The Dog
Party is one that has the right ideas to promote and initiate economic strength and security in the
U.S. We want to strengthen Americas communities and bring the American people closer
together while still protecting our rights and freedoms.
Economy/ Science:
Cutting taxes for the middle class is something we fully believe will help repair our
economy as a whole. When we put the working middle class into focus, we can combat many of
the issues we face in our economy. Health care is also a huge part of our economic plan. We
want people to know that they wont be forced to file for bankruptcy when they are suffering
from illness and without work. Other parties will want to repeal health reform and leave people
helpless and hopeless in the process. We dont want to abandon the people, we want to stand by
their side and hear their concerns voiced so we can do whatever it takes to make sure everyone is
taken care of. In addition, we would like to help out small businesses which would help the
economy as a whole. We want to invest in science, so we can create innovations that we can
offer to world markets so as to bring more revenue into our country. Our scientists have so much
potential, and we have to fund it to utilize that talent.
Drug Policy:
Economic devastation is the fuel for drugs. We need to give the people opportunities to
make money for themselves in order to be able to provide a good clean life for themselves and
their families. When drug users are imprisoned, we have to ensure that they get clean in jail, and
stay clean when they get out. If they break that promise, they will be back in prison and faced
with the challenge of getting clean. The problem we have now, is that these people arent given
the chance or circumstances to arise from the drug life. When we strengthen the economy and
provide them with opportunities to do something better, we keep drugs off the streets. We plan to
legalize and tax marijuana. Why? Because when this happens, we eliminate cartels and drugrelated street crime. We create revenue and strengthen our economy.
Foreign policy:
We will help anyone who wants our help, as long as it doesnt put us at too much risk.
With that being said, we would like to open the doors for third-world countries to reach out if
they want us to assist them in reaching humanitarian and economic goals. We would like to close
the gap between the richest and poorest countries, and to do that, we have to give other nations to
the opportunity to reach out.

Domestic Security/Science:
We have to combat terrorism while not crossing the line and still upholding our values as
a country. Also, we have to encourage people to join the military by implementing better benefits
for our military program. We have to fund the research and development of a missile defense
system and more advanced military technology. Making advancements in this department will
ensure domestic security. We need to protect nuclear technology that is already in our possession
and stop all research regarding nuclear weapons so as to not threaten other nations.
Civil Rights & Equal Rights: one of our primary concerns.
We plan to ensure that all of the American people can freely exercise the rights and
freedoms that they were promised. It is our plan to encourage individuality, acceptance, and
tolerance among all people. When we create this environment, we make create tight-knit
communities and prevent issues like the most recent in Ferguson. We dont want anyone to be
mistreated or trampled on. Everyone deserves to express their individuality and love who they
are. Minorities should no longer have to face oppression, and though this is something that will
be difficult to totally achieve, we can at least start working towards it and putting more emphasis
on peace between people.

Environment:
Environmental protection and preservation is amongst our top priorities. "We have fallen
heirs to the most glorious heritage a people ever received, and each one must do his part if we
wish to show that the nation is worthy of its good fortune," as the great Theodore Roosevelt once
said. We want to honor what this great president initiated years ago. We dont have to sacrifice
our environment for the economy, or vice versa. We can balance the two, if the proper measures
are taken.We have to protect our conservation lands and honor our heritage by creating more
conservation lands. In order to preserve our wildlife we have to refrain from drilling the coasts
and ANWR and find alternative ways to acquire oil by funding scientific research, as mentioned

before.
Welfare and Social Programs

More funding has to go towards serving the needy with faith-based programs in our
country. By choosing to fund social programs and getting people in poverty of the streets.
Abortion
We STRONGLY support the right for a woman to choose what she believes is best.
Abortion should be safe and legal. We will also support planned parenthood and adoption
programs so as to keep their options open. We never want women to feel hopeless or at a dead
end because their government restrains them from the rights to their own bodies.
Education
We need to make tuition tax-deductible. If we dont assist our children in achieving their
goals in higher education settings, we will limit the options for Americas future. Educate our
children for a better tomorrow; this is something we fully support and endorse in our plan to
revive American communities and strengthen the economy.
Immigration
We must pave a path for undocumented immigrants to become legal and create jobs so
they can stay here and create jobs so they can be positive contributions to society. By creating
jobs where we can protect immigrants from exploitation by their employers, we can encourage
them to stay here, with granted citizenship, work hard, and make positive and productive
contributions to society while helping to stimulate the economy.
